I don't know how many of you follow the NBA, but in recent years I've gone from being an avid fan to a casual fan. Mostly just watch the playoffs. And since Denver is in the Western part of the US, I don't watch them very often. But it looks like that they will win the title this year, though nothing is certain. And I had no idea just how good an offensive player Nikola Jokic is. I think he's the best passing center that has ever played the game. And you throw in Dolcic, The Greek Freak, and newbie Victor W., it looks like all the best players were not made in the USA. This just reinforces my belief that as a mid-major school, Iona shouldn't be concerned that the NIL will drive all the talent to the big schools. When you throw in the non US players there will be plenty talent to go around.
And let me know what you think of the Joker.

Foreign players will become more valuable as they can not get NIL money deals in the U.S. due to their visa regulations pertaining to "work"... and many schools will have limited connections to get them the money from offshore advertising. If I was Tobin, I would park my staffs asses at the top Euro, African, Australian and Argentinian hoops academies at the end of the summer and recruit like mad.

That's been my point all along (w/o the NIL info). I'm hoping that Guy asks TA about overseas players the next time he has him on his Podcast.
