Still Playing College Ball:
Ryan Myers - Former ★★★ recruit. After leaving Iona for JUCO, where he averaged 8.6ppg, he is going to play for Western Illinois this season.
Dwayne Koroma - Former ★★★ recruit was in and out of JUCO's but did not play, ended up at Salt Lake CC where he averaged 9 pts, 5 rbs and had a few great games. Will play for UT Arlington next season.
Jordan Brooks- Walk-on who left the team to walk-on at Kansas State but never made their roster and left the program. Transferred to the University of Central Florida where he is majoring in Business Management. Not playing ball but did his internship at USA Basketball.
Omar Rowe - went JUCO to Florida SouthWestern State College. Averaged 8.1 as a sophomore but got hurt and got a medical redshirt. 2nd season at JUCO he averaged only 3.9 pts but played in 27 games. He just committed to Morehouse College (Div2).
Johan Crafoord - JUCO at Daytona State averaged 16.3 points and 6.2 rebounds. Transferred to Central Arkansas where he tore his ACL missing most of his junior season and then averaged 4.7 pts and 2.8 rbs last season after coming back and missing a lot of last season. Entered the portal has not landed anywhere.
Nelly Junior Joseph- With Pitino's son at New Mexico.
Trey James - Former ★★★ recruit. Transferred to RMU but was plagued with a foot injury. Last season averaged 4.5 minutes a game playing in a total of 18 games. Has one more year of eligibility at RMU.
Osborn Shema- King OZ... still kicking ass for the Gaels.
Quinn Slazinski- Injured at Iona, followed Rick to SJU where he was shown the door after being recruited over. Now at West Virginia.
Jordan Wildy- Transferred to Coffeyville CC where he averaged 14.1 pts and 8.3 boards. Was the #46 ranked JUCO last season. Committed to Lindenwood where he will have 3 years to play.
Walter Clayton Jr.- Former ★★★ recruit was recruited by Rick but spurned his advances for warmer climate at Florida and will have 2 years to play.
Sadiku Ibine Ayo- Former 3 ★★★ followed Rick to SJU appears to be buried way down the depth chart.
Cruz Davis - Former ★★★★ followed Rick to SJU appears to be buried way down the depth chart.
Daniss Jenkins- Committed to Rick but needed to graduate to be qualified to play this coming season. Has been added to the official SJU rosters and Rick has already recruited other PG's. SJU might be paying him with NIL money to walk-on if he qualifies.
Anton Brookshire -Former ★★★ and Missouri transfer. Transferred to Austin Peay.
Michael Jefferson-Former ★★★ who departed when Rick left. Received interest from Cal Fullerton, Wofford, Binghamton, but has not landed anywhere.
Silas Sunday- Former 3 ★★★ is now at Hofstra.
Tahlik Chavez - Transferred to Charleston Southern where last season he averaged 11.1 and 2.5 boards. Will play his Covid year at Louisiana Tech next season.
Graduated:
Tyson Jolly: Former ★★★★ ended his hoops career due to medical reasons. It appears that one of the meds he had to take to play with his health conditions is keeping him from playing pro as it must neb a banned substance in some leagues. Stupid rules when the kid has had an issues for years.
Elijah Joiner- Former ★★★ playing pro ball in North Macedonia for KK FENIKS 2010 SKOPJE.
Joshua Duach- Left Iona to play pro in Australia. Did not do very well. Currently playing semi-pro for the North Gold Coast Seahawks. He is averaging 16.2 pts, 3.4 reb They play in the NBL1 which is a minot league basically for the NBL.
Berrick JeanLouis- playing pro for Panionios Athens in the Greek Basket League, one of the best leagues in Europe.
Asante Gist - Former ★★★, played in the G League for the Maine Celtics. Not currently signed.
Colton Cashaw - Earned his BBA and MBA from Iona and is a Sales Representative At Crestwood Technology Group who supplies the Government & Defense and Commercial Aviation Industries with critical parts, materiel, and obsolescence management solutions.
Robert Brown - Graduated from Iona with a BA in Criminal Science then played a year at Texas Wesleyan(Div 2) where he earned his MBA. last season he averaged 8.1 pts and 3.1 boards while playing 17.4 minutes a game. Working with Momentum Sports Management to go Pro.
Parker Weiss - Graduate Assistant Men’s Basketball working on his MBA at LaPenta
Isaiah Ross - Playing pro for Roanne in France.
Dylan van Eyck- Last year played for Iraurgi SB (Spain) where he averaged 6.4pts and 4.8 reb. Is playing for The Netherlands in Olympic qualifiers and for the Netherlands 3x3 squad.
James Carey- Graduated and is working for Gabelli Funds as a Rotational Analyst.
Omorede Rainey- Former Student Manager and one game wonder. Graduated and working on his Masters degree while being a Graduate Assistant with the Iona's womens team.
