Not to suggest more work for you but how about a comparable roster from the Valvano-Kennedy era? I would love to see the more seasoned members of the board take a shot at that. What do you mean by that comment? |

Assume classes (Fall Semester) start next week and that will translate into more BB news. But again thanks for thinking of me. |

Sorry, trying to type fewer letters. Preseason football. As you know this weekend is the last PS game and next Tuesday is 'Cutdown Day' when rosters have to be reduced to 53 players. Since I stopped playing Fantasy Football this is usually my most enjoyable FB time of the year. Especially this year when my Arizona Cardinals might be the worst NFL team. But hope springs eternal. |

For sure I'm forgetting key people but here goes the Valvano-Kennedy era team:
Starters:
C-Ruland
PF-Springer
SF-Hargraves (pocket knife)
PG-Grimes
SG-Burtt
Bench:
G-Hamilton
G-Vickers
G-Simmonds
SF-Palma
PF-Arnie Russell (loved him as a 6th/7th man)
PF-D. Brown
C-Coleman (before the injury)
C-Vesey (for defense)
Who did I leave out?

Super is absolutely correct about Kennedy's early team. The four named were excellent. Bob Coleman would have had a higher profile in Gaels history if not for the knee injury and related weight problem. Kennedy recruits Richie Simmonds and Jeff Wilder would have had better careers had Kennedy not left. Replacement Gary Brokaw was a good guy without a lick of coaching ability. |
