It's too late for me, but I'm suggesting that people consider adding Iona Ireland, and the Isle of Iona to their Bucket List. The closest I came to either was visiting Galway. Though on a cruise ship, I did pass by the the Herbidies (Sp?) off the coast of Scotland.

Not as pretty as parts of Kerry, but an amazing place.

Visited Galway back in 1960. Took the radio (??) train over and back from Dublin. A lot of Irish songs on the trips. And, I agree about Galway being a great place to visit.

Right on cue. Instagram shows a video of Iona students visiting Galway. Was hoping to see the sun go down on Galway Bay.

Guy, if you get a chance to interview Matt Glovaski, would you consider asking him this question. Has Iona Ireland helped in recruiting Irish kids for our athletic teams? Thanks.

We've always gotten many XC runners from Ireland, but I don't know if they been their top runners. And, as for them not being noted for their athleticism, keep in mind that until I came along they weren't noted for having many smart people. So things do change, and we might end up with a top BB player from Ireland.
