I know my memory isn't as good as it once was, but could someone remind me of what happened at Siena in January. Was that the presser that RP did not attend? Very well could have been Pitino's worst day of his coaching career. ESPNU game at Siena. -morning shoot around, refused to allow the announcers doing the game to attend in order to prep. -Siena played without McCollum. Iona's only run was when Pitino used full court pressure D for a few minutes in 1st half.Siena's FR PG Tekin couldn't handle it. For some reason he didn't go back to it and Siena kicked Iona's ass in the 2nd half - no show for post-game presser

People covered Pitino regularly. We just didn’t get much access to him because we were too small for his stratosphere. And let’s not forget what happened at Siena in January. You covered him, we can always count on you! Federman and a few others with less followers like Kraetzer did as well. But the NY post hardly ever, as well as most of the NY tv, radio and newspapers, one other notable exception is Bruce Beck. You would never have known he was back from Greece and coaching just a few miles from Manhattan. Now you can’t get away from him, his slime and stench can’t be missed! Great point about Beck. He has covered Iona on NBC local for so many years when so many haven't. And now he teaches at Iona too!

While I think that Bruce Beck is a great faculty addition, I can't wait to read the posts, IF Zach ends up on the SJU faculty.

He isn't a PR guy, but you're right about him being a tool.

Wow, so what's next? Can't stay at 13 teams, with 24 conference games.

Two Divisions: North/South or East/West or whatever. Glad to see that the new Commissioner is being proactive.

Two Divisions: North/South or East/West or whatever. Glad to see that the new Commissioner is being proactive. Would hate that. Means an unbalanced schedule. IMO, 1-bid leagues, where pretty much the regular season is all about seeding for conference tournament and guaranteed NIT bid, every team should play each other 2X.

Good thing we have a coach who knows how to win as a 16th seed.
