Two former Iona centers, Silas and Nelly: NJJ-FG (3-9) 5 rebounds, 8 pts. SS--FG (4-5) 7 rebounds, 8 pts. Nelly played against a much better team. it was to hard to write the teams

I am going out on a limb here. Neither High Point nor Hofstra will score 100 points on us.

Walter Clayton was 0-3 from the FT line last night. A case of jitters? But free throws aside, he did have a strong game: *Minutes-33 *FG-4-9 *3pt-1-2 *Pts-9 *Reb-8 *Ast-5 *Stl-3 *Blk-1 Really filled up the stat sheet.

Watched much of the SJU game and thought they looked pretty good, especially DJ, who along with Ludlum looked like their best players. And even though it was their first game, it's obvious that Davis and Ayo screwed up their careers by leaving Iona. Their only question, in my mind, is when to leave. After this semester or stay the year and leave in the Spring. Davis has at least three guards ahead of him, and if one gets injured he has a shot at added PT. Ayo has no shot. Last night, Davis got eight minutes and Ayo three. Sad to see.
86 and sharkey, what do you guys think is the best time to leave a program, assuming you have a destination, mid-year or end of year?

I thought Davis looked very good in the minutes I saw him play and wished he remained a Gael. Ayo was invisible. Both will likely see garbage time minutes and will ride the pine in close games. Both could use some bulking up imo. I see Cruz with the higher ceiling of the two and agree they’ll eventually seek greener pastures providing more minutes. FURP.
