As we all know it's going to be a smaller crowd, think we would have more on both sides if it was a day game, going to lose a decent percentage who have christmas parties. That being said St. Joes has a good fan base, and I would not be surprised if they bring as many fans as we do. They played at Iona twice that I can remember, in the NIT in 96 and at Iona in I believe 2013, both times they traveled very well. Best case attendance is around 1,500, but we may not have any crowd advantage. Dont think the team has done enough to attract a large crowd. . Yet. As many on here have voiced, if the team gels and Shema returns, the casual fans will show.

Me personally even if he is a go I would not play him in a meaningless OOC game. Yes it could be a good tune up to MAAC play for him, but we have some other quality OOC games with Harvard and Colgate.

Maybe it's minutes management with the 3 OOC games left--7 min vs St Joes, 14 vs Colgate, 21 vs Harvard.

That was the season we would get an at-large. We went to Philly the following season for the return game and lost.

See you at UBS --- attending with two others from the Class of 1986. Go Gaels!!! I have been trying to bring some classmates and Iona grads from other classes to the games with me. It is a great way to reconnect some "lost" alumni with Iona.... especially if they have deep pockets. LOL

Double OT home win was a great game, not sure how I forgot that. The game I remembered we got killed at home in December, a game Isiah Williams was missing in action.

Tobin does a great job representing Iona.
The Fordham comments were very accurate. Fordham has, for a long time now, a marked insecurity about their program’s status/standing. This is understandable given the fact that, for the majority of the past 25 years or so, they have been among the worst D1 programs in the nation.
Fordham is horrified at the prospect of losing to Iona, because doing so will serve as confirmation of the inferiority of their program. Even in a year like last year, or this season, when Fordham is not among the dregs of D1, they don’t want to play us. Once Fordham reverts to their program’s mean and they suck again, the cycle will be perpetuated.

Bad ruling today with TRO placed for 14 days, no doubt it will continue as this takes time to be settled in court. Funny how Tobin mentioned in the Podcast how there were a couple FDU players that would have helped this season, but didn't take them because they would have been 2X transfers and have to sit.
