Pretty sure no 6 seed has ever won the MAAC Tourney.
Granted, the MAAC is so bad this year that it can happen!
But seeds worse have! I'm really just spit balling because there's really never a year where upsets don't happen so really all just luck of the draw. I don't think playing a bunch of games would hurt this team. If anything it might help get them in a groove.
I have had this same thought at times. As 6 seed typically play a weak team. Get the tournament jitters out the way, especially with this team, then rest a day and give it their best shot.
HOWEVER, without big improvement just can't see this team win 4 games in 5 days with such an inconsistent offense and poor free throw shooting.

NOT YOUR POINT, YOU SAID 6 IS AS GOOD AS 1-5, NO CHANCE THAT IS TRUE
Easy man, it's not that serious. Also I never said 6 was as good as 1-5, so you made that up. I said 6 isn't an awful spot to be if you ARE in the pig.

It's all a crapshoot. I agree this team as of now ain't doin shit, but things could change in 2 months (hopefully ). I was just saying that of the PIG games, the 6/11 winner is the only one that gets a rest day. As opposed to the other 2 PIG games.
There are no more must win games until first game of the MAAC tournament lol. Ideally new goal should be to try to finish top 6. I actually think 6 is not a bad place to be even tho it's in the PIG.
If you don't think 6 is the same, why should it be our goal? Maybe our goal should be better than play in, maybe we can get a participation ribbon also

My key for this game, and games going forward, is Wheza Panzo. And specifically his three point shooting. When he's on, he opens up the defense for drives to the basket, and also seems to give teammates confidence when shooting threes. And when he's not on, we'll struggle.

Perhaps we do something radical, like create a play or two designed to get him an open shot.
And then run those plays. He cannot create his own shot.

One thought I had on why Panzo's 3 point shooting percentage is so low, is that he is not use to getting these many minutes, and he is shooting more tired. Maybe reducing his minutes can help his shooting percentage!
Fatigue could be an issue. But, imo, when he has an off game, his poor shooting starts early in the game. And as for not getting him open looks, while I agree the team should do better, he does get some open shots where he just doesn't convert, and I wonder if his feet aren't set before shooting.
Not sure if we have the resources, but if the coaches could put together a video showing him making shots and one show him missing shots, and hopefully being able to see what he's doing right and wrong. Since he's not a machine, I understand that even when he's set correctly shots are going to miss, but with his stroke they should go in 40+% of the time.
Sharkey, do teams do the video thing, and would you think that it helps?

Your right about his poor shooting early, stays that way all game. I think I'll go back to my recommendation from a couple of weeks ago, if he is off in the first half play him minimal minutes in the second half.

Reading comprehension dude. I didn't say goal should be to finish 6th I said TOP 6 and clarified that even tho 6 is a PIG spot it's not a bad PIG spot to be in. Obviously you want to be the best seed of you can get it, but top few seeds are very unrealistic at this point with a 1-3 start.

Gotta think opponents focus more on him than others when he’s on the floor. Maybe he could be less contested if some others improved their marksmanship.
