Vegas does not check injury reports on the maac Who said anything about Vegas. The source, who is looking into the matter, said that he/she (need to keep my source a secret) is due to report back to me the night before the game. Easier to say, when the line comes out. WTF are you saying

KenPom notes. They have us as a 9-point favorite. Statistically they are dreadful on both sides of the ball, but I am sure both sides have improved a bit since Durugordon started playing. Still, the only thing they do statistically well offensively is rebound. They're bad at everything, especially turnovers--360th in the country in turnover percentage, and 362nd in steal percentage. We should force a minimum of 20 turnovers in this one. On D they're OK at blocking shots and not fouling. Statistical anomaly: Iona shoots 35.8% from 3 as a team, and Siena allows 35.8% from 3.
As others have said, no excuse to lose this one. The Ledge would crumble, so many of us would be on it. We lose this one, book Tuesday night in AC in March.

No reason for ledgelife any further this year. Sample size is big enough to know what we are. In AC we will beat the weaker Maac teams in a close game and lose to the better teams in a hard fought contest. Positive side, the team plays hard and doesnt give up. I was spoiled with the talent level the past 10 years. The Nil has created a rigid pecking order in regards to recruiting. This will not change anytime soon.

hat, you forgot to say, that fortunately for Iona this year there are no better teams in the MAAC. The talent level is pretty close with all MAAC teams. So if we play well we will win. JMO.

Although extremely close, Kenpom still has us rated highest. Last 3 games you could argue we have been the best team in the league. Not saying that is the case, but I agree with 59 that we could be by years end. Current Eye test is probably: 1. Quinny 2. Fairfield 3. St. Peters 4. Niagara 5. Iona 6. Mt.St Mary's 7. Marist 8. Canisus 9. Rider 10. Siena 11. Manhattan

While it's only my opinion, I still say that IF Tretout and Shema didn't get hurt and essentially miss the last five minutes of the Quinny game, we would have come away with a double digit road win. And, yes I know injuries are part of the game. I'll close by stating if we go to AC in good health, we will be the team to beat.

So if we win all those return games, does this change your thinking re AC? Of course. Ifwe reel off a 7-0 or 9-1 streak it would change my mind and i would have much more hope, unfortunately my eyes have seen a team that is .500 or just below on the court. I think 9-11, 10-10 or 11-9 are the MOST likely scenarios.

What did your eyes tell you about the first 35 minutes of the Quinny game?

I was ready to toss my season tickets, go to Florida for February and March and cancel my room in AC for the MAAC tournament. Now that there is hope for the Gaels I’ll stay with my original plans…

What did your eyes tell you about the first 35 minutes of the Quinny game? What my eyes told me about the first 35 minutes of the Quinny game was that College basketball games are 40 minutes.

greg, then I guess you missed my point. We might have lost the game because of injuries (my opinion) but we were the better team. And playing on the road.
