Regular season games at the TUC have not been kind to us recently, but this Siena team is pretty bad.
Go Gaels!

This Siena team is horrible. No excuse to lose this game. In fact should be a double digit win. Iona is the worst matchup for Siena in the MAAC.
Team plays with same energy as the last couple games, they will turn Siena over 25 times.

Road games in league play are never gimmies, no matter how bad the opponent. And we certainly are not good enough overall to overlook anyone, even though we've played considerably better the past couple weeks. Honestly, they've been better too, not getting smoked on the regular.

The Durugordan kid can score. Doesn't appear to do much else, but he can put up 25-30 pts. He's made a difference when you look at the Siena performance before he became eligible. They still lose a lot, but not by 30 pts.

Well, appears I'm going to be alone on the island with the expectations of the outcome of this game..lol
Siena is 1-7 since Durugordon was ruled eligible.
4 double digit losses. Blew a 20pt lead at 5-13 Brown. Down by 30+ in home losses to Cornell, Fairfield and QPAC, before making it look closer in garbage time.
Only reason they beat Niagara was because Paulus refused to play pressure until Siena was up 11 with a couple minutes remaining, and then had it down to 1 in a minute.
Had 20 turnovers yesterday vs Marist

Oh, I expect us to win. A loss here would be disastrous, because we have been playing much better recently and this would be an enormous step backward. I'm just saying, it's not impossible, because it's a road league game and anything can happen in road league games. And as bad as they've been, they are just 1 game behind us in the standings.

Don't have to worry about #LedgeLife if we lose this one coach. We will all have jumped.

Fair, and true they are only 1 game behind us. My only "concern" with Siena was the boards. They are solid on offensive boards, which has been a weakness for Iona. However, while we are all thrilled to see back to back 87pt games with lots of energy and movement what really has me encouraged is the rebounding. Started rough vs both Canisius and QPAC, but playing with so much energy, they kept the rebounding battle close, and actually had more offensive boards than both. That's huge. Iona has to play with great energy to be at their best, which is why it's pivotal to escape the PIG, tough to expect that 4 games in 5 days. Have to start piling up wins No better way to start than lighting up Siena Friday night!! (Not that I dislike them or their fan base in any way..lol)

Probably know when the line comes out. Vegas does not check injury reports on the maac Who said anything about Vegas. The source, who is looking into the matter, said that he/she (need to keep my source a secret) is due to report back to me the night before the game. Easier to say, when the line comes out.
