Tretout got trampled with his feet set. If that’s not a charge I’m not sure anything is. Appears the refs want to keep Manhattan in the game. You always hear that all the coaches just want the refs to be consistent. Last night that didn't happen, as they called three total fouls in the first half and 22 in the second half. As for the bad calls, and there were a number of them, and fortunately (for us) some were against Manhattan. |

Manhattan's Winston is better than 59 promoted. Round One to him over Quigley but I hope for and expect a great rivalry between them going forward. That's assuming they both stay, which is unknowable in the new world of college basketball. While Winston might have won Round One, imo, it was close. Consider: * Minutes Played-Winston 40, Quigley 29. No edge, as TA subs a lot. * Points-Winston 8, Quigley 13. Edge Quigley. * Assists-Winston 12, Quigley 7. Big Edge Winston. Brown had 7 assists, also as his ball handling takes assist opportunities away from JQ. * TO's-Winston 3, Quigley 1. Slight edge JQ, considering time played. * Steals-Winston 2, Quigley 2. Even. You could say that with TP, JQ had an edge. * FG%-Winston 33%, Quigley 50%. Edge Quigley. * FT%-Winston 50%, Quigley 75%. Edge Quigley. Like I said it was close, and I have my fingers crossed that we'll see them go at each other many more times. Their size hopefully will keep both in the MAAC. |

Iona-Manhattan score reported on WFAN updates this morning. Only college b-ball score given. Guess a combination of slow sports day and local rivalry. We'll take what we can get
