With 13 schoold next year, what do you think of a double bye for the regular season winner and 8 schools in the PIG round?

From the looks of our team today, I wouldn't worry about this.

If the rumors I’ve heard about some of the southern schools in the CAA looking to get out are true, Fairfield is probably going to be one of the first targets there (they’re already in the CAA for men’s lacrosse). Then, you’d have a 12-team league where you’d have byes for the top four and then two days worth of first-round games before the quarters, semis and final. If it does stay at 13, I could see them expanding the tournament by a day to accommodate a 12 vs. 13 PIG on day one, followed by the setup mentioned above where 1-4 have byes, then 5 vs. 12/13, 6 vs. 11, 7 vs. 10 and 8 vs. 9. There’s a lot of time to worry about this, so don’t go too crazy with it now.

With either 12 or 13 it works easily to give #1 a bye to semis: 12 teams (assume top seeds win): RD1 9v12 10v11 RD2 7v8 6v9 5v10 RD3 2v7 3v6 4v5 Semis: 1v4 2v3 Championship: 1v2 13 teams (assume top seeds win): RD1 8v13 9v12 10v11 RD2 7v8 6v9 5v10 RD3 2v7 3v6 4v5 Semis: 1v4 2v3 Championship: 1v2
