retired, very nice 'take' on the Ladies. I will say that even when Carman did play, I felt that she was far from 100%, health wise.
And Ladies, best of luck, this morning.

Up two at the half, 31-29. DeAngelo high with 14 points. Few fouls being called (six combined) and seems that the refs are doing a good job. Missing some open three's, but the team is playing well. If it's close at the end, I would give an edge to Rider, because, based on our first two games with them they have the best player, Taylor Langan, and they go her in clutch situations. But, so far we've kept her in check with six points on 3-9 shooting.

Tied at 41, after three. We were up eight, 39-31 with six minutes to go in the quarter and then fell apart, not scoring until the 30 second mark. Langan tied it with five seconds to go. TO's up to 12.

Nobody cuts to the basket, spacing is horrible and no inbounds play with 5 seconds on the clock. This is the worst 4th quarter coaching ever.

On the bright side, we don’t have to get pummeled by Fairfield tomorrow.

Season over. A 66-56 loss. DeAngelo goes out with a 23 point effort, and will be missed. Rider was the better team.
Don't know if this is good or bad news, but based upon one game, I'm guessing that the Iona Men's game will start about 8PM.

I can understand greg's critique, as no one, on this Board follows the Women's program as much as greg. Feel that next year will be better. Also, happy to see the Pep Band and Cheer Squad in action.

I'm not so confident that next year will be any better as some people seem to think. If Fajardo retains her starting PG spot then not much will change in terms of how they play. There's no doubt she can play, but slowing it down and checking with the coach on almost every possession just makes it too easy to defend and goes a long way to explain how static they are. Maybe Zaccagnini gets that role (if she stays). I hear coach is saying she didn't have the right pieces for her system this year, that's a red flag for me. the players are individually good enough to be top 4 at least. trying to jam round pegs into square holes says more about the coach's inability to adapt. And we saw repeatedly that they weren't able to make adjustments late in games. The few times I sat behind the bench, it was clear the coaching staff don't have much to offer ... lots of nodding at Ang. Maybe that's where changes are needed.

It's her FIRST YEAR in the program.

...and like any new coach she deserves time. My point was that expectations have been set for roster overhaul (to the extent there is space), just don't ignore other parts of her organization - more is needed from them.
in terms of roster changes ... will be interesting to see how that shapes up. 16 listed on the roster. 2 grads leaving. No seniors. 1 redshirt I think, presumably playing next year. 2 new fr commits. I gotta believe she's deep into the portal, but there isn't much space unless others move on/are moved on.

Love watching the Niagara women's team, ridiculous chaotic pressure all game long, they AVERAGE forcing 29 turnovers a game and Quinny has 20 at HALFTIME today.
