Look, I’m not making any evaluations until this roster is finalized. But, this guy leaving a program like St Joe’s in early December to me is a red flag. This just seems like a gamble considering how many other guys are in the portal. I hope we got this right! He is reported to be a very had worker looking to always improve, a leader is was respected by teammates and coaches as well as a great student. Maintained a 4.0 GPA throughout high school. Sources say he is a "high character" individual.

Realize it's a HL video, but he looks good to me. Congrats to TA and the staff.

I get the concern over him leaving team. You guys can take this FWIW. I received a surprise DM from the #1 twitter site on Twitter. Told me he will be very very good at Iona. I asked about him leaving early, and my concern, especially with what happened with Gordon. Sounds like he was caught up in a numbers game. He was honest, said he wasn't a fan of a kid leaving early, but assured me he's an high IQ player and very high character and a really good kid. Very possible he felt it was best to leave the team and redshirt so he doesn't lose a year of eligibility, which is why he will have 3 years at Iona. That's good enough for me. This is nothing like the Gordon situation I’ll accept this but…

Kid looks good. We now have 3 point guards, time to move on to 3, 4 and 5’s.

Of course not because now he is a gael lol Nope. Two totally different situations Both didn't like their situation and left, you can manipulate it all you want but they both left in the middle of the year and left their teammates.

Agree to disagree. Gordon was playing his way into POY talk. He was a cancer that killed the season, and continues to be a cancer. Winborne was recruited over and did what he had to do to preserve a year of eligibility. Add the fact that those that know him from St. Joe's reached out on their own and said he's a good kid with a high character, tells me 2 completely different situations

Nope. Two totally different situations Both didn't like their situation and left, you can manipulate it all you want but they both left in the middle of the year and left their teammates. One played a couple games, one played like 25. But yup, same.

Not saying the same situation, but you can't say he was in a tough situation and fought threw it he quit. When Cluess had 2 pgs who didn't play much one left AFTER the season and one stayed and you guys called him a quitter. I'm not saying he won't be good for us but facts are facts
