Sounds like it’s gonna be a very young team next year. …and well rested. 😉

My only concern is his fit in TA's system. I might be stretching a point but he's described as a Stretch Four. We had one last year and he hardly ever played. And while I don't know why TA didn't put him on the court, I think it's fair to raise the question. In his videos he seemed a willing shooter, and his range is impressive.

Luke Jungers averaged 17.3 minutes as a freshman, averaging 7 points, and 2.7 boards. Compare that to Wheeze Panzo wo last season played 31.8 minutes and averaged 9.6 points and 2.6 rebounds. His sophomore season he got hurt at the start of the year, that is why he hardly played. Over 40 min their points per game are identical but the rebounding edge goes to Luke. Luke also shot a better percentage 3 ball his freshman season compared the Wheza this season. As long as he is 100% healthy... we got a good piece to the puzzle.

The easy answer would be, of course he does or we wouldn't have recruited him. But, I can't understand why our stretch four didn't play, last year. Time will tell.

Don't think TA would have recruited him if he didn't fit the system.

Don't think TA would have recruited him if he didn't fit the system. And my guess is his system will evolve a little into something else, too. Tobin's reruiting legit 5s, not stretch 5s, including one visiting right now. So clearly he sees ways to adjust. Curious to see how the roster shakes out. It'll fill up quickly.

Guy, your post makes a lot of sense.

Really intriguing pick up lets hope he does not get the Saunders treatment.

As frustrated as we all were with this year and some of the players efforts/attitudes, just imagine how much worse it was for Tobin and his staff.
Can't imagine they will allow the next team to have some of the issues the past one did.

The more I watch the videos, the more impressed I am with Luke. At first glance he doesn't look like he's in great shape, but seeing him out on the court there seems to be a smoothness to the way he moves. And he has a very quick release on his deep shots.

Well they are both left handed shooters.

I wonder what Tobin learned from this year: Managing the roster not being able to retain any players Sticking with the defense when it struggles Adjusting play in the half court game. Lots of standing around, few cuts, not many back doors Off the court drama and how will he adjust going forward

Well they are both left handed shooters. I thought the same thing: A slow, out of shape, unathletic outside shooter. Hopefully, he's fit now.
