He's going through some health issues, but he was on Twitter as recently as yesterday. Maybe he's just taking a break from us now that the roster is set (with apologies to Joebird).

Tracking the recruiting process has been exhausting this past cycle. Guy, Sharkey and I had a fairly sophisticated system of tracking the 343 JUCO's and Portal transfers that we were tied to in the media. Starkey and Guy did some great recon, poking around with media and industry sources regarding who were high priorities for us, what players had mutual interest etc... I can tell you that it wore me down, I can only imagine the impact on Guy and Sharkey. The process looked like a WW2 war room, just without the pretty woman. Guy did a great job sharing the information that he could, to keep you informed, without divulging sensitive info or jumping the gun too early on player interest/commitments etc. With that said, Sharkey has earned any rest he needs to get back to 100% as he, along with Guy, worked their asses off.  Hopefully by the next recruiting cycle I can figure our how to integrate AI into the process to make our lives a lot easier and hopefully be able to share more data with the fans. |
