I know that the team is off this week, and I'm guessing that the July Summer Semester starts next week, and Guy has told us that all players should be on campus and practicing. So, in an effort to generate some talk about the team, I have a question. After reading the above review of the team, my first reaction is that all thirteen players are good enough to play. But that usually doesn't happen, as injuries and talent limits that number. So, how many players will make up our rotation? And, I realize we are only guessing, even if we got a hint from JB that TA likes a deep rotation. 10. Did this on the run so I figured I should explain it. I'm assuming that 2 frosh won't see a lot of minutes and that one transfer/JUCO won't be super impactful. Would love to say I'm wrong, but when has anyone ever gone 13 deep?

So, who has the drinking problem, you or TA? It was Guy, me and Cjb;TA wasn’t drinking 😉 Reminds me of the "drinking problem" from the movie Airplane:

Even 10 is stretching it. Likely only 8-9 see significant minutes.

Even 10 is stretching it. Likely only 8-9 see significant minutes. Of course, when I say 10 deep I don't mean 10 guys are gonna average 15 min plus. I mean that I think 10 guys will play every game. I am confident in Rupert, Moundi, Biggie, Dejour, and Barr. (For I59, no, this does not mean this is who I think will be our starting 5.) I also feel good about Njie, Jojo, Winborne and Hogarth, though I don't see Hogarth getting tons of minutes every game. I feel like Bundy, Comeh, Minard and Jungers all have some ability, but that only 1 of these 4 will end up a regular part of the rotation, probably either Bundy (oldest) or Comeh (most upside). Again, these are all just guesses, and I'm fairly certain I'll be wrong quite a bit in here!

Every year everyone look like an All American until the season starts. And that is at almost every college.

But Guy, did you find out who is the PG and who will have the most dribbles and bounce passes while you were drinking? Do you think we will avg more than 3 dunks a game looking at the videos we have been provided? Lastly who will help the managers move the chairs in the huddles?

Would love to say I'm wrong, but when has anyone ever gone 13 deep? Totally agree with this. 1 injury, 1 disappointment and 1 kid in the doghouse because he just doesn’t get the system or does something coaches don’t like. Then you are down to 10. Can’t ever remember feeling like we have too many players once the new year flips. Always feels like we could use more players.

There's still time, Joe. Yes indeed there is, high probability, and sometimes more than 1. But often these kids are replaced, so there still can be 13, however a second injury or another kid not ready and you can easily be down to 9 that the coach will be willing to give regular minutes. Summary: Never can have enough good players! The playing time will be there for anyone good enough to play.
