One comment on these secret scrimmages. Actually two-- if secret how do we post certain stats and two the stats Coach Al is interested in start November 4th!! Competing in practice allows our team to welcome competition come November 4th. Anyway my two cents for what its worth. Hope to see some of you on the 28th Stay well stay safe Go Gaels Nuggets of info usually get out. We all agree scrimmage numbers and results don't matter, but most out here would still rather hear something than not. |

Since there isn't a Tobin at the Tavern thread, I'm asking about it here. Did any Board members attend, and if so would you mind sharing any info learned, last night? I attended. Really nothing more than what Guy & Jim Maisano have already uncovered. I was happy to hear that he has never in his life had a cup of coffee. He's pretty high strung as it is! Meanwhile, I need my espresso each morning. |

Well, one thing that is no longer a secret is the numbers on the team members' jerseys. See the official Iona site. And if I take a player a day, there is a good chance I'll know who's who by November 4th. Great news.

Don't know--I don't have a full box, just got some morsels. But I doubt we gave up 22, if that's what you're asking. (Side note: remember too that Rupert didn't even play.) |

Any 1 game can be an outlier, but feel like we can count the games on 1 hand per year that Iona wins the offensive glass battle. |

At the half, Siena is up by six, 31-25. They look a little more athletic than last year. But their guards don't seem to have the speed/quickness of Njie and Reeves, imo. They don't play with a low post offense, and JUCO, Major Freeman looks pretty good. Brendan Coyle, a returnee, is a good 3pt shooter. They have a decent crowd, and Hobart isn't as good as I hoped. MAAC BB is back!!
