Guy, have to disagree about the first sentence being incorrect. This is my opinion, and IMO, I think we are at rock bottom. For you to think otherwise is fine and that is why Message Boards are fun. If you had read my entire post, you would have read that I'm a Glass Half Full type fan, and that might be a clue why I think we are at rock bottom. And I don't consider my post being a lot of negative BS.
As for people thinking they know more than the coaches, well that what fans do. And if you don't believe me ask Robert Saleh and Joe Douglas.

The point is, Canisius fans right now dream about being at what you are calling Iona's rock bottom.
Rock bottom for Iona was in 2007, the 2-28 team. Unless you think we're going 2-28, this simply isn't rock bottom.
I'm going to be a good moderator and get this thread back on track.
We're 5 games into the season, and like I predicted, we are 1-4. No, I didn't think we'd get handled by Hofstra, lose to a CAA mid-pack Delaware team at home, or get smoked at WVU. But I also didn't think we'd beat what will turn out to be a pretty good Vermont team playing us on 7 days rest.
Some have pointed out how the pattern is similar to last year, and thus far, that's not unfair--the close loss against a very good mid at their place, shaky play since. I can talk specifically about Cornell in that thread, but I feel good about that one given how last night went. And the Bahamas, we know Tarleton is poor so hopefully we lock that one in on day 1, and we'll see what happens in the other 2. As for the MAAC, the league has generally looked pretty poor. We didn't get off to a great MAAC start last year, but we were playing considerably better up until Gordon's departure.
I still believe in this team and I still like its makeup. I'll be curious to see how Winborne fits into the mix, and for that matter, Barr as well. Only a couple MAAC teams have looked "good" thus far--Merrimack, St Peters and to a lesser extent Quinny and Marist. I want to see how things look over time, but there's no one in that list that's insurmountable. We didn't really see Iona look even pretty good last year until the Colgate game, and even after that we had MAAC hiccups before we found our stride. Assuming no Gordon disaster like last year, I think we're all hoping to see that kind of growth in the team between now and March.
So, last night was last night, and I'm turning the page to a good Cornell team coming in, and then a week (for me) in the Bahamas with our beloved Gaels.

I probably didn't explain myself very well. I think we will move in an upward direction if the changes I've proposed are followed. We have too much talent to even consider a 2-28 finish, unless you know something I/we don't.
Another way to look at it is in five game segments: * First segment 1-4. * Second segment??

Do they sell Iona speedos at the book store?
No one wants to even think about it!
My biggest question is whether I can bring my fruity drink into games. May need it.

"Strongest metro team"? This isn't pro sports.
