We don't get many "infiltrations", but we get them now and then. I realize some people think they have the right to privacy, but in reality, there is no such thing. I have the IP addresses of everyone who posts here, including the guests.
Still, I would prefer if anyone who intends on posting regularly or even once in a blue moon be registered here, but I can understand the reasons for NOT doing so. What do y'all think?

I voted "makes no difference" - however, I can understand that from the moderator's perspective it could make quite a difference.

I voted "Yes". I see no reason for having trolls such as "bobbyfan" engage in their drive by sniping on this board unless they register. Just my opinion.
Go Gaels!!!

I'm fine either way.

Unless, it becomes a problem, I see no reason to make them register. We receive some good info from guests that we might not have received if they had been made to register. Especially from OOC fans. JMO.

I fine either way as long as they are respectful, this board's biggest attribute is the members are civilized and decent with each other!

I prefer registration. It makes for more responsible posts.

If someone wants their opinion heard, shouldn't they have the courtesy to register? Otherwise, it is a hit and run.

I think you should have to be a member to even read the board

Based on the results above, with 20 of 22 saying yes or makes no difference, I'm inclined to set that to make people register. Thanks to everyone for their feedback.

I was one of the two that voted no. It was purely based on the fact that I am amused by the fake names some of our regular users post with when they are trying to be funny. ;D - But a votes a vote...

It may not matter--I'm not sure this board has the functionality to do what I'm suggesting--it's either open for everyone or you have to register to even view the board. I want the hit counts so I may end up leaving as is.

I'm on some kind of weird streak. Now I'm even winning when I lose!

OK, I checked with Proboards, and apparently I can do what I wanted. Will be changing the settings shortly. Only change is that those who aren't registered can't post.
