Buffalo wins by 1 - both teams shot horribly! Maybe they were both trying to lose so they didn't have to pay for a home game.

In an effort to show proper respect, I must admit that Guy's sources seem to have greater credibility than do mine. Guy, you are God!

Very excited about this game! As someone who was hammering the program for not stepping up, I must admit how happy I am with this turn of events. The school and the department should be commended for this, and also for the professional and quick way they are handling the ticket situation. $10.00 is also appreciated! Everyone should try and bring an extra person to the game. Lets be one of the few CIT games that sells out.
GO GAELS!!!!

Here's a link to the Buffalo basketball message board. From the few postings so far, they do not seem to have much confidence in their chances. Let's hope we remember how we felt going into the St. Pete's game - let's make sure that cannot happen again! ubfan.com/board/index.php?board=4.0

What matters is how the team felt. I hope they learned they have to show up all the time, even when they've handled a team pretty easily. I hope all who can return, do return for next year and I hope they have this lesson ingrained. Then, they can do something really special.

This is great news.
To my recollection, the only time Iona hosted a post season game was St. Bona in the NIT back in the mid 80's.

Cjb, while I only vaguely remember, I think we also hosted St. Joseph's in the nineties. And I think we lost.

A little history. While this is our first CIT, about 50 years ago we played in the NCIT (National Catholic Invitational Tournament). We didn't win it, but I think we did win a game or two, but I'm not sure. We might have even been in it more than once, but again I'm not sure.

The winner of our game against Buffalo will play the winner of Ohio vs. East Tennessee State on either Friday or Saturday.
