I thought the ferry came from Staten Island, not Brooklyn!

If he can keep Barry's recruits, he's walking into a good situation. I expect the Jaspers to be middle of the MAAC, next year. And like TC, he favors offense. Things should be looking up in Riverdale. Naturally, I was hoping Bobby Walsh would get the job, but you can't argue with their choice.

I think the two coaching hires (FF & MC) are a good reflection on the MAAC - an IVY and an NEC coach make the tourney and get MAAC gigs... MAAC coaches who get 20 wins get to the Big East. Nice.

I think that Steve Masiello is paying the price of KW's "early departure" to SH. Schools, imo, are less likely to hir a young coach knowing that he'll be looking to bolt at the first opportunity. Steve has to hope that Louisville has a great year to move him up the coaching ladder.

I thought the ferry came from Staten Island, not Brooklyn! Too bad he never got the Wagner job.

I wonder when Walsh will finally get his shot. Maybe it will be here, after TC leads Iona to a couple of Sweet 16s and moves on to the BE or ACC.

Goodman, Fox Sports Blog above, is reporting that Ferry has turned down Manhattan. If true, I would think that would move Bob Walsh moves to the front of the line. JMO.

Shows you what I know. Steve Masiello, according to Zagsblog, has been named coach at Manhattan. IMO, they're taking a big chance on making him the HC. He has no where near the experience of KW, another Louisville assistant.

I agree. They are taking the "safe" route by taking an assistant from a major program. It worked for us when we took KW. However, the next time, Pat Lyons went off the charts and didn't go that way. As a result, Pat is now in the Big Least and we have our coach for, hopefully, the foreseeable future. Manhattan went "safe" the last time - how did that work out for them? Maybe this will work out; however, if not, they are looking at a lost decade. From what I have seen, Shawn Brennan was in the Bobby Walsh corner. It looks like he may have been the only one in that corner.
