I don't know how accurate this is but the Fordham board reports that Siena has signed a four-year contract with the Rams.

Why would 2 bottom barrell programs need a contract?
Pretty funny Pecora was all about local teams playing each other when he was at Hofstra. Wonder what happened?

A la Dodgeball, the game will be broadcast on the Ocho and covered by OSQ (Obscure Sports Quarterly). Just kidding fellas!

What would be far more entertaining would be a "fan-off" between these two schools to find out which group is more delusional. Now THAT would be epic.

Of course, lately, I think Fairfield fans have been out-delusioning both of them. BTW, do you want to tell Jeff Ruland he only had a "cup of coffee" in the NBA, or should I do it? He played only 332 NBA games, compared to Speedy Claxton's 334. Speedy also earned over $37 million and a championship ring, so that cup of coffee must have tasted awfully good.

It's funny...a number of the Fordham posters want to play us..."old rivalry" sort of thing, but they don't think we would be agreeable to it...frankly, I don't think Pecora wants any part of us...it doesn't look like the good old days will be happening for us anytime in the foreseeable future with St. John's, Fordham, Seton Hall nixing any possible deals...I bet we could get a game with Rice at Rutgers.

Speedy also earned over $37 million and a championship ring, so that cup of coffee must have tasted awfully good. Injuries vs not being good enough. Huh? Speedy tore his ACL just before the start of his rookie year and was plagued by injuries his entire career, and finally retired due to injury, 8 years after he entered the league. He averaged 9.3 ppg and 4.3 apg. He wasn't as good a pro as Ruland but to say he had "a cup of coffee" is absurd. Is he still married to his wife who is going on Basketball Wives? I can't believe any current or former player would want his wife to be on that show. Steve Burtt (101 games) and Sean Green (84 games) had a cup of coffee. Speedy's teammate at HU, Norm Richardson (11 NBA games) had a cup of coffee (half a cup?). Kenny Hasbrouk of Hayseed Nation had an empty cup of coffee (or maybe it was Irish coffee given the DUI) as he briefly made the Heat's roster, but never got to play. He's sort of the Hayseed nation version of "Moonlight Graham" ("Moonshine Graham"?) If NBA Reference is correct, no Hayseed Nation player has played a single minute in the NBA, the only MAAC school with that dubious distinction. It did surprise me how few players from current MAAC teams have ever made the NBA, especially in the past 30 years. I think we all like to think that great MAAC players have a decent shot at the NBA, but it very, rarely happens.
