So according to this we ranked high in tempo and offensive efficiency last year. We struggled on the defensive end with a ranking of 132 in the nation in defensive efficiency. We shot the ball well and didn't turn it over much, comparitively. Be interesting to compare next year's squad, a year from now.

We shot the ball well and didn't turn it over much, comparitively. Be interesting to compare next year's squad, a year from now. Re the defense, on the contrary--there are like 340 D-I schools. Ranking 132 in defensive efficiency--and yes, strength of schedule is factored into that stat--isn't bad at all. The team got better defensively as we went along. Early on everyone was shooting 50% against us, by February we were holding teams to the low 40s. That's a big difference. Bottom line is if we keep teams' scoring in the 60s and their FG% in the low 40s, we'll rarely lose.
