I guess we'll parade in a string of jucos to guard 6'8" Robbie Hummel! :-)
Looks like Temple or Western Michigan in the second round.

Found this on what I think was a Purdue fan site:
Tickets for the Puerto Rico Tip-Off go on sale Friday, and can be purchased at ticketpop.com or by calling (866) 994-0001. Packages include all 12 games for $80 (plus tax and applicable fees) or single-session tickets for $15 (plus tax and applicable fees).

Huuuuuuuuge opportunity for Gaels. Whenever a mid major is being heralded as a very good team before the season and can start off the year with a win over a big program, it really gets noticed. A win or two to start the season would be an unprecedented start for Iona.
On a negative side I can't stand that these first two games are day games on work days!

Indeed, Epatrick. Hotels on the beach are cheap compared with some other tropical locales. You need only keep an eye on the flights to catch a good break. I may even book tonight--not sure if Iona will do its own package but I'm sure it'll be out of my price range, as is the "official package" of the tournament (see PR tipoff site).

Now might be a good time since taxes aren't being collected on flights for the time being.

We have the best player in this tourny, and if Momo gets the waiver-hes not far behind. Machado is right there as well. None of these teams scare me

Cluess: "Purdue presents a tough matchup and to get to play on national television against a program with such great basketball history is a tremedous honor for Iona."
