What happenned to the center McGrew(Sp?) and pope? the PG? Sounds like Anacreon did have a spot and turned it down. Iona is awfully small, an injury or foul trouble to Glover could be trouble.

I just realized Pope is sitting out so he wouldn't be on the roster, but until tonight I heard nothing about McGrew not being on the roster.

McGrew won't be coming. Won't be qualified.
We also had a commitment from DaJuan Williams. I don't recall if something had happened with him that I'd forgotten. Trying to find out.

And a "duh" for old GuyF, DeJuan Williams is only going to be a soph at his JUCO, so he won't join the team until next season.

McGrew won't be coming. Won't be qualified. If this is the case, then I'll have to agree with Joebirds assesment that we're a little thin up front.

Agree to some extent about being thin up front; but Randy D has shown his ability to hang with the bigs, so that makes Iona a little deeper up front. I hope Diggs is as much as a beast on the boards as Alejo was, or we could have issues.

Does all this mean that we have one ship left for this year.We do have two players sitting out this year so that uses up two ships for next year if my math is correct.

I think it all depends on Duravcevic's status. I believe last year he was a walk on; if he's on sholarship now; I think that would be 13.

I'm hearing that we'll likely hold onto that last 'ship.

I guess the thinking is Glover is going to play at least 36 minutes a night and with a 3 guard offense you have just 44 minutes to fill in the front court so you really don't need much front court depth. I imagine you'll even see a 4 guard offense at times so there may even be less minutes available in the front court.
I understand this thinking however it is risky because if something happens to Glover the Gaels will have big problems with their lack of size.
