You guys sound like the MAAC board posters, concocting flaws where there are none. We're a mid-major team destined for great season, but we're still a mid-major--you're not gonna have studs and depth at all 5 positions.
Joebird is right that we'll see a 4-guard look often. We may not have a ton of depth inside but we don't need it. The "if Glover gets hurt" thing is silly, as every D-I school in the country can say this about their star player. Stop worrying and get ready to watch us beat Purdue in a couple months.

You are absolutely right Guy - there are even some high major teams that have been succesful without studs and depth at all 5 positions. Our team will be guard oriented and that's just fine. I'm very excited about this team. My comment about Glover was meant more as a reply than a real worry. You are correct, any mid-major that loses there star are in trouble.

If Momo plays this year we're a top five team in Iona history. Print it.

Wow. Jon Rothstein tweets: Iona's Rashad James continues to buzz throughout the off-season. Freak athlete has improved range + handle. Could start for the Gaels.

If Momo qualifies and James is this good, Gaels backcourt depth is ridiculous. It will be very interesting to see how Cluess decides to distribute the minutes.

Lots of four-guard. You have to play your best players, and our best players are guards.

Guy, a certain Mr. Glover might feel that you are not giving him his proper due:
"our best players are guards"

I love 4 guard. I do hope TC stretches the bench to give Trin and Jermel some minutes. They've earned it.

Does anyone think it is unusual for a transfer who hasn't sat out a year to already be listed as part of the current years team? I don't recall that ever happening in the past. I haven't read anything about the waiver being granted. Maybe it's expected. I hope so!

Thanks for the clarification about the transfers. Now it makes sense. Go Gaels
