Be safe with your family/friends and have a great weekend! Lets not forget what this day is all about!
I have nothing planned, but wish I could attend the local parade on Monday but I gotta work.

I will visit a little know Memorial stone on the North Ave side of the causeway leading to New Rochelle High School....It has the names of locals that gave their lives during World War Two....I will spend a few minutes to say a prayer and search my youthful memories of most of them..Their faces are of young boys to me. I was allowed to grow old....
While visiting that site, I have often thought of the thousands and thousand of students that have passed it not even knowing it is there and the supreme sacrifice given to allow them to enjoy todays life.....
Rest well fellows....I remember.....
Go Gaels!!!!!!

oldtimer, we are fortunate to be able to honor you on Veteran's Day rather than on Memorial Day.
Thanks for what you did for us. I will certainly say one for all of our fallen, who paid the ultimate sacrifice to protect and guarantee our great liberties and the fanicful ones such as posting on boards like this. We should never forget the price they paid for us.
Go Gaels!!!
