Hey, you're gonna lose one or two you shouldn't. And probably win one or two you shouldn't also.

Hey, you're gonna lose one or two you shouldn't. And probably win one or two you shouldn't also. Absolutely. They could have won this one in regulation (A couple of great chances) and let slip away late in OT. Better now then in the MAAC tournament.

Agreed, better now than in the MAAC Tourney. They need to refocus and get back to playing one game at a time. They really may have been looking past Siena to the Fairfield game. Never really advisable for any team to do that.

Gaels rebound with a win over St. P's. Tomorrow is the final game, assuming there's not 10 inches of snow on the ground, which is what I'm getting right now. Let's close it out, lads!!

2-0, very efficient win today over Manhattan. A few missed opportunities, which they will need to convert on in the MAAC championships. Great season, now let's get an NCAA berth!

Gaels locked in OT dogfight with Siena.
Siene has three players with Yellow cards and is fouling the hell out of Iona.
Fouls are Siena - 19 and Iona -8

Truth be told, the Gaels dodged a couple of penalty kicks in the second half - especially one late in the second half.

Gaels win 3-2 on penalties. Keeper with a save and last Siena shooter goes wide. Announcers believe an at-large bid is still in the discussion for Iona in case we fall short. Iona plays Manhattan who upset Loyola.
Unfortunately, Iona ended the game with four starters who are "hurt" - not sure how badly though.
GO GAELS!

Iona had a ton of turnovers in the midfield. They'll need to play better the rest of the way.

Siena's final PK taker gets a yellow card at end of shootout. What happened there? I've never saw anyone booked after a shootout before, especially one from the losing team who's season was now over.

Bummer of a loss in 2 OT to Manhattan. I'm hoping the fact that they lost only 1 game in regulation all year will count for something to the NCAA committee. Not optimistic though.
