Siena's final PK taker gets a yellow card at end of shootout. What happened there? I've never saw anyone booked after a shootout before, especially one from the losing team who's season was now over. tried looking this up myself and couldnt find the answer. i did see that Jannis Opalka, who received the yellow card after missing the PK -- was nominated for the NCAA sportsmanship award...I imagine he went nuts after missing...doesn't sound very sportsmanlike to me

If we don't make the NCAA's it will be a BIG disappointment. Might be a lesson to the BB team. Polls and expectations will take you only so far, but you still have to win on the field/court.

I watched the game and Mahnattan played very. Manhattan had a hand ball in the box late in the game that was not called even the announcers seemed surprised that it wasn't called. The Gaels should have gotten a PK out of that but what can you do.
It looked to me like they really pressed and rushed things all day long on offense. Great season though and hopefully they still get rewarded with an at large bid to the NCAA Tournament.
Agree that the men's hoops team should bear the Gael Booters situation in mind as they prepare for the upcoming season. Nothing is a given. Take it one game at a time and make the most of your opportunities. Read the press clippings after the season is over.

I think the chances for the NCAA are non-existant. If they had won the MAAC regular season title they would have had a chance.
It was a great season. The team only loses one senior and they should be fantastic next season if they can keep this team together.
