Former Iona XC star, Stephen Chemlany, is now a world class marathoner. Congrats to Stephen on his second place finish in last Sunday's (I believe) Berlin Marathon. The winner was also from Kenya. Don't know if he'll be running in the NYC Marathon.

Wow, somehow I missed this one. He finished second and was only in the race as a pacer. The winner, Patrick Mackau, set the world record.
on the subject of pacers, the idiotic IAAF has disqualified Paula Radcliffes world records becasue they were in mixed (Men & Women) races. So, men are allowed to have pacers in their race, but when a women uses men as pacers they get their records disqualified. Nothing like changing the rules after game!
