The first piece says we're showing interest in PJ Torres from New Rochelle HS. Also getting interest from Penn State, Rider, and Monmouth.

The prior coaching staff was interested in PJ Torres, more so than Antoine Mason. Not sure if the new staff is also interested. They might be quoting the kid, and all he knows is that Iona has expressed interest. He's an athletic 6'4, who,
if he develops over the summer and in his senior year, would be a solid prospect. Depending on how we do this year, it will give us a better feel for our needs next year. But it's someone the Oldtimer should keep a close eye on. Since Mt. Vernon has played against NRHS so often, Garee Bryant will know all about him. JMO.

Saw him play many times....He is a very strong kid who uses his bulk to get rebounds against much taller players.....He needs work on his offense, but puts points on the board with his strength....If he can add a couple of inches and mature his body this coming year, he will be a very good MAAC type strong forward...He will be watched. and rightfully so....
