In today's Daily News...
Current Members: DePaul Georgetown Marquette Providence Seton Hall St. John's Villanova Notre Dame (if it stays)
Propsed New Members: Dayton Duquense LaSalle St. Joe's St. Louis Xavier
He didn't refer to it specifically in the article but it would be an all Catholic school conference...they could change the name of the conference to the Big CYO...Villanova would never agree to sharing the Philly market with both St. Joe's and LaSalle...no Siena or Fordham...would love for St. Bona's and LsSalle to get real and join the MAAC...we could then create the Little CYO if we dumped Rider...this is all a pipe dream of course but it would be great...if A-10 gets devastated though a reasonable expectation would be for Siena to bolt the MAAC and join a restructed league...let National U stay in the A-10 where they can be bottom feeders for years on end...

We would have to boot Marist as well if we formed a Catholic Conference... it has not been a Catholic school since 2003.

Big East needs to go basketball only at this point. F football. That new league will certainly hurt recruiting
