We lost another oldtimer with the passing of Bob Farrell, last week. Bob was 80 when he died (Class of '53). He was a Mt. Saint Michael grad as well and also a Korean War vet. He was a long time season ticket holder, and it was nice to see Jay Judge at the wake, yesterday. Bob was a, "glass is half full" kind of fan, and always looked on the bright side. While he used a cane at times, I never knew he was fighting a nine year battle with cancer. He always had a smile on his face and at times one of his grandaughters, an Iona student, would accompany him to the Goal Club receptions. He will be missed. RIP Bob.

Bob's four children were at last night's Sports Night in NYC, and in his remarks, Tim Cleuss told how happy the team was to host Bob at a workout practice, a few weeks before he died. Tim said that Bob's family thought the team was doing something for Bob, but the team thought that Bob was doing something for them. The visit provided Bob's family with pictures of Bob with the team and with Kyle Smyth, his favorite player. They'll provide nice memories for the family.
