I know most of my thoughts have already been posted by others, but Scott's play has been so special, I think he deserves his own thread. Consider: 1. He's just passed Rory Grimes as Iona's all time assist leader, and is on pace to finish with 700+ for his career. 2. Going into the year, most of the press has been going to Mike Glover and MoMo, with Scotty a distant third. His play is showing us/me that he's the early season MVP. 3. I realize that Doug Gottlieb is filling up the broadcast by stating that Scott is better than Marshall of UNC. I often listen to DG's radio show on ESPN radio on satelite radio. He's on during drive time, 4-7PM, and I'm hoping that we get a mention. B/t/w, Doug Sherman took Marshall, but that's not surprising considering his Siena connection. 4. Scott now has the single game and tournament record for assists, with one game to go. Pretty impressive.
I'm hoping to see some of his passes to Rashad James on Sport Center.

Thought Scott fouling out v. Purdue cost us that game. He was playing great down the stretch. Thought MoMo tried to do too much on that last possession. Purdue had him locked down. I love MoMo though for the same reason I love Scott; they want the ball when the game's on the line. Love our team. Just got to remember if you don't have the shot, someone else can fill it up. Any guys who want to get to the next level, Mike, MoMo, Scott, etc. got to remember scouts are smart. They want to see your ability. But they also want to see you make smart, unselfish decisions. They want to see smarts, too. Keep working at it guys and you'll get what you want.

I liken Scott...as the MAAC version of John Stockton. I'd like to think Scott has been studying film of Stockton.........also from a Mid Major....who flourished in the NBA. Wouldn't that be nice to see..?

Really an incredible performance by Scott. He has me convinced. Had a conversation with Toure Murry's dad - star player for Wichita State - said he wished Wichita had a guy like that to get his son the ball. Insisted that Machado was the best point guard in the country. Was great to hear that Scott and this team is starting to make a name for themselves. Fantastic weekend. Would have given Alabama more problems then Purdue did.

Stuck at work all day Sunday, watched game today(thank God for DVR). Whats great is that lefty guard on Maryland trying to talk sh*t with Scott, and he just blew him off and continued to own him. IMO, Machado is the best PG in the nation. For those interested, Im arguing the point on SJU board also. johnnyjungle.com/forum/index.php?topic=4268.msg88226#new

Very impressive analysis and makes a case for the true number one PG.

It is quite amazing how Machado's game has improved from last year to this. I'm with IC59, to bad he isn't a junior. I'm glad Scott is getting all this positive attention, but I guy I also think is playing much better is Jenkins. His shot looks much improved!

Scott mentioned by Clark Kellog during the UNC/UK game as perhaps equal to Kendall Marshall as the best pg in the country.
