Some of the translation is hilarious. Nice to see that Scott now "owns" the Iona basketball team

Doug Gottlieb's first "NBA Draft Board" of top thirty prospects - ESPN.com. Scott is #12
12. Scott Machado, Iona Gaels If Sebastian Telfair had gone to college and was a little bigger, this is what I think his game would have looked like by the end of his career. Machado has great feel as a passer, can score some in the half court and has changed his body to become a more dynamic athlete.

Scott, being named as the winner of the mid-year Lou Henson Mid-Major POY award is a FANTASTIC accomplishment. Congrats Scott.

The way he plays he should also be considered for the Jim Henson award!

Spoke with Vitale a few days ago. He is very aware of Scott's achievements. He also knew our record & that we had lost a heart-breaker to Purdue. I "encouraged" him to give us a vote in the ESPN poll.
We also talked about a Jimmy V school participating in the Jimmy V Classic. He seriously doubted that NC State would give up a home game to play in it. He thought Rutgers might. He knew Iona would. He thought it was a great concept and would consider bringing it forward. We'll see--but I'll stay at it!

With just under 6 minutes left in the Rider game Machado returns to the lineup from a short rest. My question is why? Iona's up by 26 and the game is over, why not rest his legs a bit? He's got 14 assists. No need to pad the stats more. Why is he in the game? So Rider has now cut the lead to 18 and it looks like its going to end around here. 1:30 to go. Machado is still in the game, a lot of good it did. Iona is deep and playing an inferior team, with a 20 point lead, why are the starters still out there?
Sorry if this the wrong thread for this. maybe i should have started a new topic, maybe I should have put it in the Rider thread. It started out being about Machado (I mean really, didnt he play more offseason bball than anybody, isnt rest something to think about?) and then moved on to the rest of the team.
