Gaels open as a 7.5 pt. favorite. Let's go down there and rock the Casbah.

The fact that we are a 7.5 point favorite scares me a bit.

They're an 8 pt dog in their own building. That should scare them a bit.

Iona will win, perhaps by double figures.

Couple of things about Rider's last game. As most people know Rider lost by two, on the road, to Niagara and were victim of some shoddy clock operation at the game's end. As a result, referee Ken Clark and his crew have been suspended by the MAAC for one game. With that in mind I would think that the League will assign a good crew to work tonight's game. Also would think that most of the early calls will go Rider's way (sort of a makeup), but as the game goes on the calls will even out and when it comes to officiating we won't have much to complain about. JMO.

What happens when a crew is suspended, though?

So if we get some "funny" officiating tonight, or things aren't going well for some reason, here's a good opportunity to work on our mental toughness. Whining isn't going to get it done, or pointing fingers and blaming teammates isn't going to get it done, or giving up isn't going to get it done. Staying focused and figuring out a way to win is gonna get it done. Nothing else matters or helps in any way.

What happens when a crew is suspended, though? They'll assign someone to replace them that has the night off. We've had maybe one last minute change the entire year. It's a little lower than average only because there hasn't been any travel devastating blizzards this winter.

Given the events of Rider's last game i'd be surprised to see "funny officiating"

Iona will win, perhaps by double figures. Huh. To be fair, I was disappointed when I logged on and saw the halftime score. But that was a tremendous second half, and Rider was awful, which helps. Story of the night though is Marist upsetting Loyola! In first all alone, but the Stags are on our heels.

Just remember that Rider played w/o Gadson and Jones, two of their top players.

That was my first thought, 59.
Iona played very well in the 2nd half and we got a nice gift from the Foxes. Let's take advantage of it.
Go Gaels!!!
