A good last 15 minutes but prior to that it was an awful performance especially considering Rider had no Jones or Gadsen. Rider couldn't make a shot for about 7 minutes and Gaels still couldn't put them away. A road win is always nice but not impressive.
Don't like the fact that Rider' s Jones had that wierd virus that's going around, hopefully that doesn't pass to Gaels at this time of the year. Yes I am a worry wart.
Armand is starting to come of age, he is our future.
Gaels back in first with Loyola loss to Marist. That's the good news, the bad news is Marist is getting hot and they may be our first round game.
Not having Fairfield vs. Iona chosen as ESPN2 wildcard game is looking dumber every moment. Just an awful move by Maac. They should switch but they don't have the guts.
I can't even tell you how bad ESPN3 was for me tonight, I think it is Cablevision, absolutely unwatchable between the blurriness and the pauses.
Big one Saturday for National attention. Iona needs to play well and win.

Armand needs to develop other areas of his game, defense, feeding the ball, etc. Great shooter, but that isn't enough to be "the future" as you say Joebird. Momo does love to shoot!

Sometimes you need a little luck, and we got that tonight. Good W. Now we can enjoy the Bracket Buster.

Armand rebounded and played D tonight, I do think he is our future and I think he is the Maac player of the year in 2 years. Imagine if Ridley, Armand, Glover, Momo and Scott all played well together in one game, Gaels would be unbeatable.

Well, so much for FIOS. The picture was full on HD on my set. Best Internet picture I have seen - Time Warner Cable Turbo Speed - 20 Mbps - If you have high speed connection it should look great. I have to say, I am a convert - I like the ESPN production compared to the usual crappy productions we get. Full disclosure, I work for TWC. but that doesn't change the fact that the picture was great.

That is what makes them a cut or 3 above the rest. Momo is next... and then varying degrees of inconsistency from the rest. It all depends on how many of the others bring their "A" game. I hope they all bring it against Nevada. Both teams have something to prove.

I'm now realy glad i bought a 23 "monitor last year. I'm impressed with the espn3 so far.

Sorry Gregcrow... I switched to Verizon Fios ( whole package) two years ago from TWC and could not be happier. The problem was my internet. Kept losing my connection and they would not acknowledge a problem with my modem and claimed it was my router (linksystem).

I watched the game on ESPN3, through FIOS and the picture quality was generally very good. There was very little blurriness and I don't recall any pauses. You might want to try rebooting your FIOS modem/router. I've found this has helped at my Mother's house, when she has had slowness or connectivity problems with FIOS.

Yes, no matter who your carrier is, if you reboot the modem and router before the game you will get a faster connection. To all you Fios customers - I had no bluriness and no pausing at all ;D

Just to bring this back from the technical discussions for a moment, this was a good mental toughness game, imo. Not getting calls in the first half, down 5 at half on the road to a team playing with good energy. The guys got together at half and did what needed to be done.
Here's a little real world hypothetical:
Your boss comes into your office and looking very worried says "We've just lost our biggest client." How should you respond?
a) Wasn't my fault, that was Bob's client. b) I'm going home boss to look for another job; no bonus this year!!! c) Ok, let's you and I huddle with Bob and Sally and figure out how to get the client back or make up the lost revenue.
What's gonna get it done?
So Iona player X doesn't get the opportunity to play professional basketball. Instead he goes on a job interview and the interviewer asks tell me about a time you had to face adversity, and how did you respond? Well I learned about facing adversity playing college basketball . . .
