Don't mean to put anybody down but a couple of the posts reminded me of Siena fans. Refs were not great but WE LET WAKE BACK INTO THE GAME, for the reasons everyone said. They killed us on the glass and yet Dublin doesn't play. Is there more to it? Should we be singing, "Jeylani we hardly knew you." Going from a two game starter to a DNP raises questions.
Muhammad and Hines were the unsung heroes, though it did look like Ibn has to control his temper, along with Kelvin. As we suspected Ibn is a pass first PG while Cedric is a shoot first type. Casimir was 1-6 from three but they were good shots it didn't look like he was forcing them. Still doesn't look comfortable when running the offense.
AJ and DL might score more, and I'm pretty sure that AJ will lead the team in scoring but IW looks like our best player.
ESPN3 worked fine for me, so I'm guessing, like Guy(?) said it depends on what you're watching it on.
No other way to say this but for me the last five minutes were embarrassing. Almost to the point of saying that we didn't win the game, but rather Wake lost it. Over the years I've always had the feeling that when we upset a team on the road, we were VG from the foul line. A different story tonight.
I was going to break Iona05's chops about DR not starting, until I heard TC's pre-game interview with Kevin Hamilton, when he said that we were prepared to go with a couple of Bigs, but in the end decided to go with our best five.
Since it's well after my bedtime, I'll close by saying that my hope for this team rests on the continued development of Kelvin Amayo, as he showed much more tonight than in the first two games. Is the rust starting to come off? I know we won't rebound very well but should do a decent job from the foul line going forward.
Huge confidence builder beating an ACC team on the road.
You want to start your season getting off on the right foot and a loss (going 1-2) could've set a negative tone which you want to avoid at this early point.

Solid win, but really need to rebound better.
Agree on momentum--kids were pumped after the game, taking photos of themselves in front of the display of the NBA jerseys of Wake legends.
Rebounding was weird. In the first half, when Wake was not taking advantage of height, we were down 20-24 in rebounds. In 2nd half, they totally pounded/forced the ball inside resulting in the 34-55 discrepancy, Wake took 13 3pt shots in first half and 6 in the second. They had an amazing 72 shots in the game, but only scored at a 38,9%.

Super, attendance shows at 6,800. Is that right? It looked pretty empty.
Missed game due to family event. Great road win. Isaiah showing he is like a Swiss army knife. Lots of tools, uses what is needed. Great stat line, even though it does not show all the hustle plays. Patience with team outside of big three. Experience builds confidence. IMO Amayo and Hines will continue to develop and become key players needed against bigger physical teams. Looking forward to North Texas.

Got to get my position on the refs clarified. Please anyone don't interpret my posts as whining, but rather observational. Put it this way I would have been surprised had we gotten calls down the stretch in this type of game. We have to prepare for that mentally. Its to be expected like the national anthem and the under five media time out. You just stay focused and play hard. Unless its Clues, complaining to the refs won't help and may hurt. Expect the same at Arkansas. Our guys are physically tough. We need to be mentally tough too. Thought we did ok in this regard last night. We need to be pros at this. Its part of the business.

I would have guessed around 5,000. Someone said capacity was around 14,800. Really hard for me to gauge.
Crowd around the basket was pretty "rough." Chants of "SAT" when IW and Laury had the ball--took foul shots; also ridiculing a degree from Iona. Kids totally ignored them.

Bill, The calls didn't go all their way. In fact the biggest call of the game was the attempted steal on Laury by their best player Devin Thomas. It was a foul for sure, but it could have been "missed". It wasn't and it fouled him out. And it was down the stretch. Your post with a couple of minutes left was "We're getting jobbed now". I would tend to call that whining. Respect you Bill, but I think you are way off base here.

Expect calls to go against us on the road, especially against a bigger conference. Road W's are tough to come by, specifically as we are playing the opposing team, crowd noise, and zebras. It's just the way it is, some things will never change (Bruce Hornsby).

True that was a big call that could've gone against us. Fair point
Saw some comments about use of bench . They actually played 43 of the 200 minutes. Ibn & Hines got meaningful experience; Ellis would have-- but he was totally out of it. I suspect Robinson will be carefully brought along in the right situations. Bebis--who knows? Dublin-- a mystery --I suspect practice-- based on previous TC decisions.
