I was on campus, today, and saw a big kid (about 6'9, 235) being given a tour of the athletic facilities. Have no idea if it was Bessick or if he's any good, but I do know he's BIG, tall and broad. Still no Greek kid, at least on the court, and no Sledge. Daniel Robinson and Kelvin Amayo, there but not playing. I can't make it tomorrow, but understand guys will be playing, starting around noon, so maybe OT can make it. I saw him yesterday as well. I didn't put two and two together until I read the postings this morning. You think I would have been tipped off by the JMU tee shirt he had on ...

With each day that goes by, it seems more likely that Tavon won't be back. Hope I'm wrong, but if not, the question is who would take the final spot. Another player from abroad or a graduate transfer?

Maybe I am just being naive but is it possible tavon just asked to get the summer session off so he could be with his new son.
I will agree my guess is this didn't thrill the staff but at the same time they felt they had to let him do this.
He will be playing catch up because of this if he is indeed still on the roster.
My opinion is a snr pg with his experience will contribute at times this year, so I hope he is still a part of the team.

Coaches get paid to win, and would not last long if they allowed unrestricted loyalty to interfere.....

According to JucoHoopsNation, Ibn Muhammad a 5'9" JUCO point guard has committed to Iona. Should be immediately eligible.

According to verbal commits Iona received a verbal commitment from Ibn Muhammad. 5'9'' PG from Harcum JR college. I presume he is for '14 as he is listed as a JR. So with Bessick's commitment I believe that leaves Iona s over the limit. unless one or both are coming and paying their own way? is anybody definitely leaving? have to admit I am a bit confused over this commitment

Ibn is the all-time assist leader at Harcum JC which went to the JUCO final four last year.

Ibn Muhammed averaged 10.7 points and 7 assists a game his senior year at Bishop McNamara. He originally committed to Maryland Eastern Shore but then reopened his recruitment when he heard from Florida State, Marshall, Jacksonville and Central Florida. He was rated a 77 by ESPN. A pass first PG that can get to the basket due to his quickness.
If he is actually a scholarship player, I would assume that Sledge might not be returning.

Sledge and Young gone per random tweet today. If so, that would leave another ship to fill. My guess is we look abroad. Simply a guess.

Or at a particular transfer. Do we really want another small guard? I'm thinking more of a big two or a wing.

Sledge and Young gone per random tweet today. So if this is true AJ English and Schadrac Casimir are the guards to start the season? Or does Cluess go with Amayo and English or even Muhammed? Cluess is known to play the best 5 on the court no matter the size. With the season fast approaching and not all the players are on campus does the staff have any clear front runners yet? In Cluess I Trust
