Have to say outside of my family and my work there are few things I love more than Iona basketball. Been a thirty year love affair since I was a student. But if we fail to improve our facilities in a significant way that to me means we are not going to grow and we'll basically tread water. I'll try to stay invested, but if I feel like the administration is not invested, don't know how much longer I'll be. Aww.. C'mon Bill, you're not going anywhere - you love this stuff too much! I'll take a major hit on the inspiration front if this doesn't come to fruition.

I know we're in the silent phase (I believe - haven't heard otherwise) so I realize they are doing fund raising behind the scenes and that's why there are no updates. Comments here are that people have heard only our past Angels are stepping up. We need a bunch of donors to get to 75% of 20-30 million, not one or two guys who always bail us out. Was concerned when I first learned that this would be funded solely through private philanthropy. If the appetite isn't there from the public or the administration due to the changing nature of Division 1 hoops and they don't follow through I'll be very disappointed. That's all I meant as I don't know very much at this point. Haven't heard anything for months. Haven't heard any specific plan really, other than the first announcement which was we need better facilities to compete. Is there some way they can put out some progress updates? Or is that forbidden?

When is that typically held Super? March, April?

Confirmed over the weekend-more to come at and after Trustee's Dinner in April.

According to the Ionaian, the construction of the dorm, on the College Diner site, is due to commence on or about April 1st.

Watching Hofstra v. Northeastern at Hofstra. Nice arena Hofstra has - looks good on TV. Looks pretty blah though. Doesn't seem to have any character. Clean, kind of antiseptic looking.

If it were ours we could fill it with our old MAAC, NIT and NCAA banners.

If we had a choice to do nothing, at this time, with the hope that we could do something later(3-5 years) on or to replicate the Marist gym within a year or two?
