Some causes for concern...................... 1...51 points from 3 point land...6 from foul line...13 2 point baskets...26 points. Strange box score...... 2...We as home team only scored 6 points from the foul line, they scored more they twice as many...The only explanation being that our inside game was invisible...When a team makes 17 3 point baskets and only 13 2 point baskets, it is cause for concern as it will surely catch up with you....We, when on target are a great outside shooting team, but unless a balance is maintained, a unexpected loss or two is sure to follow....... 3...Why does Laury play like gangbusters during the beginning of the game and gradually slow down?...Is he carrying a few extra pounds... 4...Will our depleting manpower eventually catch up with us...IMO Cluess has shown concern and is trying to use and experience the bench players... Aside...The crowd was anemic...I don't believe we will ever have high volume attendance, the main reason being the apathy of possible fans and lack of local press to stir interest...Until this changes an increase of no more then 1,000 to 1,500 capacity with a Field house designed to give a larger appearance will do the trick...Along these lines the following MAAC schools will have to deal with this situation in the near future....Iona...Canisius...Niagara...ST. Pete's...Rider...Manhattan..... ot....why all the negativity? we hit 17 of 30 three pointers and lead virtually from start to finish!

Can someone who was at the game please explain what we did to keep Kemp at 4 points on 2 of 6 shooting? Was it our defense, their gameplan, his play or something else? Thanks!

Kemp was hurt earlier in the season, and I'm not sure he's 100%. We played zone most of the game and Marist had trouble getting the ball inside. That coupled with the fact that their wing players were knocking down shots and this caused them not to force the ball to Kemp. JMO.

I don't know if this was mentioned but last night's game included what I consider the play of the early season. AJ English was inbounding the ball under the Marist basket, and the guy guarding him had his back to AJ. Well AJ passed the ball off the defender's back. He then stepped inbounds picked up the ball and put in an uncontested layup. I first saw that play in a HS game between Iona and New Rochelle in 1954-55. An oldie but goodie.

JMO. lets take the credit. no love for purported injuries as a alibi. we didn't even double or triple him in the post when he got the ball so if he didn't perform, that's on him...good job gaels

Tiger....There is big difference between Concern and Negativity...My post was clearly titled Concern...The issues I listed were clearly those that must be addressed...I recognize that my posts at times might cause controversy but my nature is to ''Stir the pot'', and I have been known to take the opposite side of what I believe in just for the fun of it...

OT: I think your concerns are spot on. FT's turned the KU game from a single digit game into a blow-out. Miss the front end of a one and one; the other guys get a runout and, in KU's case, a thundering dunk takes the wind out of your sails. Our interior game is a bit of a puzzle. I think part of that is DL and IW are still working through their roles. Both IW and DL spend a lot of time on the perimeter, which allowed Marist to overtake us in rebounding last night. If those two start working a high/low (IW prefers the corner, DL the high post), it might get even more interesting.

Certainly can't argue with our coach. Hopefully we can be one of the 4 teams out of 351 in D1 Hoops that average over 18.8 assists per game.
