As Cluess said, today should be a a "fun" practice for the boys after yesterday's thrashing. Let's hope the squad regroups and plays with a chip on their should this Thursday. Would be great to erase all the bad memories of Dayton with an upset victory.
Go Gaels!!!

The game is scheduled for the NBC Sports Network. If we play like yesterday, it might come with a PARENTAL GUIDANCE warning.

Great to hear Coach Cluess tell it like it is - no excuses or sugar coating. Hopefully the team can "rebound" from this poor performance.

05, thanks. I think I would have been more impressed if he had said it, pre-game. If he were expecting a poor effort, I think he should have used up ALL his TO's in the first ten minutes of the game, ala Jimmy Patsos.

Looks like the Dayton fans are not overlooking the Gaels. From the Flyers board:
Easily our toughest home game to date... This team can absolutely fill it up plus they have one of the premier scorers in the nation.
Start of a heck of a 2 game week in Iona and USC.
Starting Lineup:
G A.J. English 6'4" 190 SO G Sean Armand 6'5" 200 SR (23.1 PPG) G Tre Bowman 6'5" 205 SR F Isaiah Williams 6'7" 200 SO F David Laury 6'9" 255 JR
Game is at 7:00 PM Thursday on the NBC Sports Network... Go Flyers! Pt. 2 of 5 in our quest to be 12-2 before we head to the Fighting Marshall Henderson's.

I've been to quite a few Dayton games and they are good basketball fans. The arena is a huge homecourt advantage. This will be a tough one to win, though my Brother-in-law, a Dayton Alum and huge fan, is convinced Iona will win. I am looking forward to this game, as I have been to 6 Gael games in the state of Ohio in recent years (Missed BYU) and the Gaels have lost all 6. Time to break the streak! I'm actually happy we lost to St. Bonaventure - so far this season the Gaels are 5-1 in games I did not attend and 0-2 in games I have attended. I still have 1 extra ticket in the third row if anyone is interested! Go Gaels!

"thrashing" is minor compared to this..... www.youtube.com/watch?v=GBqZY72wZ90I love it when coaches are forthright in an attempt to get as much as they can out of their players.

The tone of this game IMO will be set in the first 10 minutes...The mind set that follows will be a important factor in its outcome...If we can get off into one of our quick starts, it will lead to a Dayton mind set of ''Hey this is not going to be easy'' and of the Gails thinking ''Hey we can play with these guys''
IMO the line will be between 6-8 points...Teams with those type odds are usually given about a 30% chance of winning with a much higher percent of beating the line...So even though the odds are against us a victory is certainly within the realm of possibility....
Would certainly appreciate any info to allow viewing the game...Please though, make it as simple as possible for this internet idiot...Thanks....

No chance I'll be there and may request that you give up both tickets so you stay away. (Gaels 2-1 when I attend this year.)
