Dayton just looks a whole lot stronger, and better, than us. Hope Iona plays hard and keeps it close.

Teams will use this game plan the rest of the year against us unless we find a way to correct it. Glaring weakness.

The refs do not seem like they are aware of the new rules. Lots of holding and hands being used.

If anyone ever sees Mike Poole do anything useful please point it out to me. He looks useless to me, hope he can pick up his play as the season goes on. [/quote] Bluechips....That question has been asked about Poole's play for 3 1/2 years...Please don't ask me....They might be asking that same question somewhere in Europe next year...Unless I have missed something over the long years it has been a one year wasted scholarship...

Can't play d, remember when we thought they looked better than in the past. Stupid prediction by me of us winning, Dayton better than Kansas and a horrible match up for us. Williams may have broke a team rule based on someone in chat room so he will be out at least at Nevada as well.
Yes I over rated us.

Why do our guards start trotting down the court after they take a shot? Does anyone teach fundamentals like following your shot? Do they assume that every shot will go in? Hines and Robinson are also the only players that boxout on a consistent basis. SMH

The problem is lack of energy and desire. You have to go at it hard for the entire game. Dayton is a better team but there is no excuse for lack of effort. I'm not sure Ryden will last with the Gaels he tries too hard and actually plays some defense.

Garbage time but a few nice passes by Gomez, showing why he needs to play

Ryden will be an important piece of the puzzle when MAAC regular season starts. He is a junkyard dog. We need another like him.

Look, Dayton is just a much better team. No way we beat them with this squad. I'm concerned that the D has regressed two games in a row, but I just don't think we ever had a chance in this game. The problem is that Manhattan and Canisus will each review the tape of this game and the Kansas game and use the blueprint. We're in for trouble in conf play if we don't come up with some answers.
Time to turn the page.

Defense and rebounding are largely effort. Right now we look lost. I liked the energy Tavon displayed out there when he was in. Maybe time for him to start at PG again. Didn't expect us to win this game. I'm still burning over last Saturday v. St. Bonaventure. Work in progress. Right now we need to work on defense. Apart from the effort, more than a few missed assignments as guys just had wide open shots.

The team also seems to have become extremely overconfident. We were overrated.

Dayton is a much better team, I don't believe St. Bonnies is. Playing without a lot of heart. It's a disturbing trend

Ryden will be an important piece of the puzzle when MAAC regular season starts. He is a junkyard dog. We need another like him. Could not agree more. This team has been exposed a little last couple games. Laury having a hard time on D against big teams. he needs help. While they will not face teams like St. Bon and Dayton in MAAC, Manhattan, Canisius and Quinnipiac are going to cause problems. Just a thought but going forward I would consider starting Hines at the 5 and Laury at the 4. Laury would be impossible to cover at the PF position and hines can add some toughness and defense.
