The opening and pretty well established line for this game was Manhattan -2 1/2...It has suddenly moved to 4 1/2 and in some places 5 in favorite of Manhattan...The reason I feel that this has happened is Quinny loss to Siena establishing the Gails as MAAC champs...With this many betters believe that Iona will not play as hard and lose some of its incentive... Ordinarily this might happen, but me down with those that Iona is a proud bunch will not let that happen...With a 11 game win streak and its reputation as ''The Class of the MAAC'' on the line, they will make sure it will be a ''BATTLE''... Over the years, I have learned that the psychological aspect of a game is a big factor often not given enough value and overlooked by fans...

Quinny's loss also gave Manhattan added incentive to win tonight (as if there wasn't enough already). Now Manhattan has a much better chance at finishing 2nd. I'm sure both this and the the fact that Iona already clinched 1st, had an impact on the Vegas odds.

Big difference between 2 and 3 seed in terms of quarterfinal game time, right?

Sure is, though with this years schedule, less likely to have one of those after midnight finishes.

Crazy game. Both teams on series of runs. Uncharacteristic turnovers. Stalled ball movement. Too much Laury ball handling with everyone watching and not moving. Have to get back to early game ball movement.

If Brown doesn't come out of nowhere to block Tre's shot at the end of regulation, we win the game.
Aside from the outcome, great college basketball game, and best of all... we're still the Champs!

Could have won but about as good of a Maac loss as you can have. Need to win Sunday by more than the spread and have to go up to Springfield and play well for 3 games and try to offset SPU holding the ball, Baron and then win the tiebreaker against Manhattan, will not be easy. I am really scared of Baron while Manhattan gets a man down Quinny, although they will have a non 100% pg. I just hope my " march to the garden" statement wasn't referring to the NIT. We were never getting an at large bid so still all that matters is 3 in Springfield, though mentally we need to win a non last few minute game Sunday to keep our confidence high.

Yes. The at-large is done. Even OT cannot will it to happen now.
And as I said in the chat room, as many of you know I am a strong believer in the "hard to beat an equal team three times" theory (which has plenty of data to support it), so in that regard it's not devastating to lose THIS game at THIS time.
I know some of you believe in the "need a loss before the tourney" thing, so I guess you're "happy" too.
Let's destroy Rider and get up to Springfield and see what happens. I like our chances.

LOL I think Cluess just told them to go have fun. A lot of wild crazy one on one takes to the hoop that didn't result in a basket. Not much sharing of the ball in the second half, and of course, too many easy baskets for Manhattan. But fun game to watch.

I like our chances too because this has become a very good basketball team but we do not have an easy bracket. We have seen what Dunne can do against us, and Baron is not going out without one hell of an effort and then Manhattan will be waiting. We are going to have to earn it to win it, and if we get there we are going to win, I really feel that Cluess will not lose his next NCAA game. This team has a dominant 3 point game left in it, just hope it's not in the NIT.

Who handles (not shoots) the ball in tight situations, facing the double team?
