Great game. We fought back when we couldve mailed this meaningless game in. Great atmosphere. Iona students were great. Some classless Manhattan fans were jawing at Armand and English all night. I told them to enjoy the CBI tourney

Cudda won, but how many better games did Manhattan play this year?
Side question: Does anybody think that Williams could play the 5?

Joe,
Until we find know the severity of Alvarado's injury, I would not rush to place them in the final. My gut feeling is that this year the MAAC final will comprise of one favorite and one long shot. This league is just so competitive, I would not be surprised to see Siena or Fairfield playing for a bid. I'm just hopeful Iona is the one favorite playing in the title game.

LOL I think Cluess just told them to go have fun. A lot of wild crazy one on one takes to the hoop that didn't result in a basket. Not much sharing of the ball in the second half, and of course, too many easy baskets for Manhattan. But fun game to watch. All this really taught me is that 05 should start all of these threads

Gomez needs to get more mins. These soft passes back and forth bringing the ball up the court are killing us

AJ got his bad game out of his system. I like this team, this coach and our chances in the tourney. Three in a row for three in a row!

Andujar claiming they proved they are the team to beat, what bs. One OT win at home in a meaningless game for Iona means nothing. Manhattan has an easy road to the final, they will be there against us or Canisius.

Gomez looked tentative tonight and Sledge only played 2 minutes. To Tavon's defense, it's pretty darn hard to get into the flow of the game and contribute when you only okay 2 minutes. I agree with some other posters in the chat room that when AJ was clearly showing signs of being off tonight, Sledge should have been granted more meaningful minutes.

Is the 8/9 game definitely Saint Peter's and Monmouth or could Marist fit in there?

Bruce Pearl mentioned Armand was going to be invited to Portsmouth. Patsos, despite all of his name dropping, said NBA scouts told him MAAC might have a couple 2nd round type players. Think Armand has a chance to be 2nd round pick?

Also gave DLIII the 6th man award and TC Coach of the Year. ETA: I agree that iona05 needs to start the Game Threads. Go Gaels!!!
