Let's close out the season strong. I really hope the seniors -- Sean in particular -- get the reception they deserve from the entire crowd on Sunday. These guys have been nothing but class on and off the court, and Sean in particular, has been the model ambassador for Iona since he stepped foot on campus.
A win would be pretty nice, too. :-)

After our game last night I switched to ESPNU and watched Canisius/Rider. It was a blood bath for Rider's Senior Day.
If we play like we did in the second half last night, we should have no problems with the Broncs. Play tough, Gaels!
Go Gaels!!!

Thank you to Sean, Tre, Dashawn, Mike and Kristian for representing Iona College the way you have. We have really enjoyed watching your efforts on the court. Take in every moment as your college basketball careers wind down. These memories will be carried through your life. We wish you nothing but the best as ready to embark on your lives after Iona. Let's get Rider today and then March through the MAAC Tournament. Play hard, play tough and enjoy your day.

just watched the first Rider game wanted to hear commentary since I was at the game 1) they thought english was like momo jones, they asked cluess and he said yes but more talented 2) even though english is the high scorer other teams game plan for armond first and then english and laury 3) cluess doesn't call plays during the games because he expects the players to run the offense and get good shots 4)I will is the unsung hero, mentioned their record a few times with and without him, and that he is a future star in the MAAC Seniors good luck and thanks for all your hard work, now lets go out with a bang!!

Sean Armand has a rare opportunity in front of him: joining the elite group of Gaels who have been to the NCAAs 3x. Who are the others?

I love this team, and I suppose that we should not name favorites, but Sean Armand has been my favorite ever since I watched his "Armand TV" video a few years ago. He has matured so much since he started as a 3 point man. He has a very well rounded game. More important, he is a genuinely nice young man. I posted the picture in my avatar last year after I had the chance to speak with him after the Loyola game. His aunt was kind enough to take a picture of the two of us. I guess I'm shrinking and can't figure out where my brown hair went.
I wish Sean, DeShawn Gomez, Mike Poole, Tre Bowman, and Kristian Duravcevic all the best as they move on in life. I thank them for all that they have given to Iona. They are fine young men, both on and off the court. I trust that they get to play in the Big Dance again. Best wishes, guys.
Go Gaels!!!
