Chelsea is correct. Since we are a one bid league, at least this year, both teams know that they have to win in order to get into the NCAA Tourney. Iona does have the NIT in their back pocket, but that doesn't mean they won't feel pressure, knowing that we're one win away. IMO, game will be decided by the refs. Manhattan presses and fouls on almost every play (just their style) and refs (if last night's game was any indication} call a lot of fouls against them early and then let up. Masiello runs guys in and out, to keep them out of foul trouble. Getting Brown (key guy) in foul trouble will be a key, but don't know if we can do it. We couldn't keep Manhertz off the boards, and Brown is better. Naturally DL is our key guy and he MUST stay out of foul trouble. I expect two of the refs who worked last night's games to be assigned, tonight. And I believe this is Tracey's last game as MAAC Assigner, so I wouldn't be surprised if his son is one of the refs. Our recipe for victory will be : 1. Limit TO's. 2. DL playing 35+ minutes.
P.S. Andujar played very well for Manhattan, last night.

No chance. Also, the winner will probably be a 14-15th seed. Sounds like MaacManiac's team lost in the tourney somewhere along the way? Siena perhaps? 12 seed is likely (Manhattan or Iona) if the upsets in other leagues continue. GTM72, I have barely posted this year but have been a member of this board since 1997. Do not know where you surmised I was a Siena Fan although I have posted on their board. Anyway... this game should go down to the last minute. Go Gaels!

Gaels open as a 1.5 point favorite, but seeing spreads range anywhere from pick em to 1.5 so far. Going to be an epic battle tonight.

Just leave it all on the court. We will need Isaiah and Tre to have good games both on the offensive and defensive side of the ball as well as DL making his foul shots.

Gaels open as a 1.5 point favorite, but seeing spreads range anywhere from pick em to 1.5 so far. Going to be an epic battle tonight. Prediction: Iona 81 Manhattan 73 The recipe for a MAAC title will be one comfortable, never in doubt W (Rider), one edge of your seat nut cutter (Canisius), and one hard fought 8-10 point type game. While I expect the game to be tight throughout, the resulting point differential will be due to late free throws, etc. Keys include limiting the duo of Andujar and Beamon to a total of 35 points. Make sure we have a hand in the face of Richards and Williams, respecting their 3-point shooting ability. If the game situation dictates, implement the "hack a Shaq" on Brown, exploiting his free throw issues in an effort to create more possessions for us. Go Gaels!

Was off line yesterday...Computer problem...Furious when I could not get game or even score. Called daughter, she came up with partial solution.....Get the game on her computer, then put her phone directly to sound then to my phone...Was enabled to at least listen to last 10 minutes of game...My aid who was off yesterday came in this morning managed by working on master computer which is upstairs to get me back line... It is amazing how intelligent the people from Ghana Africa are...They believe in education, religion, family life, work ethnic and are completely honest...Both my weekend and weekend aides are from Ghana...Their lifestyle reminds me of our rapidly losing culture..... As for the game...Could not be more proud of this team who seems to have a answer for and rises to the occasion for all problems... Looking forward with anticipation to what will be a ''Street fight'' and probably tonights best game on T.V.

Unless it's a play in game 12's are often auto bids. Harvard this year and Iona vs Syracuse come to mind quickly.

I am just waiting for this day to pass. A couple fo people were going out for a bite and asked if I wanted them to bring me back something. I can't eat because I am nervous as a cat. I was on the edge of my seat yesterday during the game and have been pacing today. I think that I am more nervous than the players. I obviously want us to win, but I think my excessive worry is because I want Sean, and Tre and our other seniors to get to play in The Dance once more time -- they deserve it.
I have all the faith in the world that if this team continues to play up to its potential they will win tonight and defend their MAAC Championship. Best wishes and Fight the Good Fight, guys.
Go Gaels!!!
