I am just waiting for this day to pass. A couple fo people were going out for a bite and asked if I wanted them to bring me back something. I can't eat because I am nervous as a cat. I was on the edge of my seat yesterday during the game and have been pacing today. I think that I am more nervous than the players. I obviously want us to win, but I think my excessive worry is because I want Sean, and Tre and our other seniors to get to play in The Dance once more time -- they deserve it. I have all the faith in the world that if this team continues to play up to its potential they will win tonight and defend their MAAC Championship. Best wishes and Fight the Good Fight, guys. Go Gaels!!! +1

For us, it’s always been about the defensive end,” Masiello added. “When we hold teams below 40%, we have a lot of success. The problem is, we’re playing against a team that you’ve got to watch what you do against. They’ll blow you out in a hurry. That team is the real deal. That’s a Sweet 16 team; that’s how good they are.” “I think there’s two NCAA tournament teams playing tomorrow,” Masiello said. “Regardless of who wins tomorrow, both teams should be in the tournament.” quote] I had previously posted if IONA won out, but got beat in a close MAAC title game, they would still have a fair chance for a NCAA bid.....After the loss to Manhattan at their home court I thought that possibility lessened greatly.....But with the Gails fine play, and their T.V. attractiveness along with the Jaspers resiliency there is an outside chance of the loser receiving a bid, and if Iona wins, a almost sure shot Manhattan will at least receive the NIT invitation reserved for Iona....

Super, I am sure that the team is handling this better than I am. They know what they have to do and I am sure that TC; the staff; and the seniors have them focused. I am not sure why yesterday's and today's games have me so worked up. I think it is because I really do love THESE guys that I look at them as my kids -- I always want them to win. I know all fans want their team to win, but I'm not sure whether I have crossed some fine line between fan and crazy person. I was pretty much worthless today in the office.
Go Gaels!!!

ionaintheblood, while I watched the end of yesterday's game I was so impressed with the looks on the faces of the Gaels on the court -- they were all business. I was a basket case.
bill, well played.
Go Gaels!!!
