This is the field for Orlando this year. Would've been ideal for us, especially for potential at large candidacy. Understand it was cost prohibitive. Alabama, Dayton, Iowa, Monmouth, Notre Dame, Southern California, Wichita State and Xavier.
Preaching to the choir, but--Goal Club donations are remarkably low for a mid-major program. Have to figure a way to increase that--at the same time support a capital plan.
Program really depends on buy games--which may result in a decent schedule for us after all.
Not so sure about this. Hope you're right though.

Are we attempting to schedule to high with teams that have little to gain from a meeting with such a dangerous MAAC mid-major team...In looking over other MAAC team schedules already filled most appear at least respectable...I suspect that to be one of the reason for scheduling delay...

These have been our home OOC games in the Cluess era. Believe this year's slate will be the worst of the bunch. Just adds more fuel to the theory about not being able to get anyone to agree to come to our building:
14-15: Cleveland State, Delaware State, Indiana State, Florida Gulf Coast 13-14: Wofford, George Mason, Saint Bonaventure 12-13: Denver, Liberty, Norfolk State 11-12: Saint Joseph's, LIU, Nevada 10-11: Richmond, FDU, Vermont, Hofstra

Yup, no question. But I agree with 05 too--I gotta think we're in for a shitshow of a home schedule. Hoping I'm wrong.

Not fair to compare Delaware OOC to ours. Their RPI was sub 250 last year. Puts them in a totally different category as far as attracting teams for home games and buy games.

another schedule i would sign up for No question that most of those "up" teams would play Delaware rather than Iona.

Mullin's plan to restore NY hoops to previous status:
In addition to Syracuse at MSG:
Nov. 13 against Wagner at Carnesecca Arena. And before the end of the month, the Red Storm will host Rutgers on campus in the Gavitt Tipoff Games and travel to Hawaii for three games in three days. Its Maui Invitational slate begins Nov. 23 against Vanderbilt at Lahaina Civic Center, then takes it against Indiana or Wake Forest. Kansas and UCLA are among the possibilities for a third-day foe.
The Dec. 2 game at Fordham is the only true non-conference road game. The Johnnies also play a neutral site game against South Carolina at Mohegan Sun in its Hall of Fame Shootout event on Dec. 22.
Other non-conference game include Maryland-Baltimore County (Nov. 16), Niagara (Dec. 9), Incarnate Word (Dec. 18) and NJIT (Dec. 20) at Carnesecca Arena. On Dec. 6 St. John’s plays St. Francis in what is technically a neutral site game as part of the Holiday festival at the Garden.
